Mama• Wife• Free spirit
Full of wanderlust, chasing light, dancing with the trees, living and loving life barefoot and with a camera in my hand.
Saturday in the mountains.
My little sister invited us to come visit her this weekend so I bravely packed the kids in the car and drove the 2 and a half hours to where she is in school at by myself. Real talk.. it was the road trip from HELL.
Eloise screams unless I’m sitting next to her. Emily left her blanket behind so we had to turn around and go all the way back for it 25 mins after we got on the road and It was pouring. I’m so glad we decided to go though. I know the girls were happy to see their aunt and I was SO happy to get out of the city for the day.
We hung out in a zen garden, checked out a lavender farm, and just enjoyed spending some time with her. Sometimes running away to the mountains is just what you need even if it involves a screaming baby, a poop explosion, and a four year old who needs to pee every 20 minutes
PS. I’m OBSESSED with my new Sakura Bloom ring sling. It’s perfect.
I’m sorry friend! But I have a life and two babies who I don’t want to miss a second of. Tumblr is usually the last thing on my mind
It looks different colors depending on the light. Inside it’s more brown outside it’s super red
So I hope it stays red/gets redder instead of brown or dirty blonde like her sister. I am obsessed!
Oh my goodness congratulations! I’m so happy for you! What did you name your littlest sunflower?!
What’s In My Diaper bag:
One of my top requested posts is a what’s in my diaper bag post so I thought I would finally knock that one off my list.
My “Diaper bag” is really a backpack from target. Dylan buys me anything with foxes on it because a fox is my spirit animal and when he brought this home I quickly ditched my traditional diaper bag for this beauty.
Lets start with what’s missing from the picture
Elastic, a hot glue gun and fake flowers from the craft store! Super easy, super cute. Thank you so much sunflower!
Their bond is already so beautiful.
The way Ellie’s face lights up when she see’s Emily.
The way Emily thanks her for ever single smile or tells me Eloise is so cute it makes her want to cry.
Emily has been sick the last few days so I’ve had to keep her away from Ellie and earlier today I hear Emily yell from the across the room “Ellie I miss you too I’m still here, my sick will be gone and I’ll hold you soon!”
NOTHING beats the sound of Eloise giggling at her big sister or Emily singing to her.
They are so special. Both of them. Inside and out.
I am so very in love and so very blessed.
I just ordered a Sakura bloom in the color Sienna. It’s the most gorgeous color and so perfect for fall! I can’t wait for it to be here! I love my Maya but I’ve been drooling over Sakura Bloom slings for ever.
Later this week I will make an “Emily through the years” post!
